Parental CoachHelping your children channel their full potential
I am a Child Neurologist who combines sound medical knowledge with a healthy dose of Mom-Neuroticism to help you optimize your child’s brain development.
A bit about myself
I currently maintain a clinical practice at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where I see patients with a variety of neurologic conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, developmental delay, ADHD, learning disabilities, tics, headaches, and cognitive/ behavioral management in neuromuscular disorders. I hold an academic/ research appointment as Assistant Professor at UCLA in the Departments of Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences. My current research interest remains in the area of autism. I am proud to contribute to the training of the next generation of physicians including those specializing in Pediatrics, Child Psychiatry, and Child and Adult Neurology, and enjoy giving talks on various neurologic topics locally and nationally. I am a member of the Child Neurology Society, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, UCLA CART (Center for Autism Research and Treatment), and The Help Group-UCLA Autism Research Alliance. I also serve on the Advisory Board of Healthy Child Healthy World. I enjoy art, music, yoga, skiing, and relaxing with my family.
My Values & Beliefs
Developmentally Stimulating Activities
Engage in developmentally stimulating activities to nourish your mind and creativity. Explore new hobbies, solve puzzles, or participate in thought-provoking discussions. These activities not only sharpen cognitive skills but also foster personal growth and lifelong learning.
Nourishment for developing body and brain
Nourishment is vital for both body and brain development. Incorporate a balanced diet rich in nutrients, including fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains, to support optimal growth and cognitive function. Remember, a well-nourished body lays the foundation for a healthy and thriving mind.
Toxin Avoidance
Avoiding toxins is essential for maintaining overall health and well-being. Opt for organic produce, filtered water, and non-toxic household products to minimize exposure to harmful substances. Prioritizing toxin avoidance safeguards your body from potential health risks and promotes a cleaner, healthier lifestyle.
My Approach
Grow brilliant children, stay beautiful, enjoy the process, and live with joie d’vivre!
